Therapy is relational work.
The connection you build with your therapist matters just as much as the tools and modalities you use together. Our team brings warmth, clinical skill, cultural humility, and deep respect for the stories clients carry.
We work from inclusive, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed perspectives, and we meet each person with curiosity, compassion, and clarity.
Do you often ask yourself “Why?” Are you in constant search for meaning? Would you like a guide [or perhaps some counsel] while you are down that existential rabbit hole?
I’m a trauma therapist focused on developing community and helping individuals learn to navigate and better manage their mental and emotional wellbeing. I work collaboratively with clients struggling with self esteem/worth, burnout/overwhelm, panic/anxiety, hopelessness/existential dread, motivation/executive functioning, developing/maintaining relationships, setting/maintaining boundaries.
My aim is to help my clients develop and/or deepen (integrate) their connection to their sense of self/identity and it’s intersecting identities/parts, process major life altering events and experiences, reduce self-harm and other trauma response behaviors, and work towards growth and lasting change.
Life is difficult enough as is, therapy is an opportunity to find a safe oasis for you to exist as you are, where ever you are at. If you want to explore within and find purpose and meaning, then I am here to help support you. Let’s find your preferred method of healing, and navigate this journey together.
I combine a science-based therapeutic approach with a deep love of philosophy and queer theory to help you work towards a fuller understanding of yourself and your world. Using that understanding together, you will clearly identify the gap between the life you have and the life you want, and begin to build the tools and goals needed to close it.
I utilize a combination of EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Patrick Carne’s Task Model, and various depth-oriented approaches. I believe the key to mental health is clearly defined core values and a vibrant, fulfilling life grounded in them. Goals are simply a way to help move towards those values. Whether your goals are reduced anxiety, sobriety, or deeper connections with loved ones, I will collaborate with you to develop an approach that helps you move from where you are towards where you'd like to be.
